A gentleman's lust for life is never to be questioned unless, of course, it entails dueling in Goliath-sized mechanical jumpsuits in a quest to win the Lady's boobies.

An afternoon tea party at the Lady’s Manor quickly degrades into a wrestling match between two competing aristocrats both outfitted with steam driven gargantuan-sized fully loaded armoured mecha-suits. As they tear up the Lady’s courtyard (in an effort to win her “boobies”) a most hilarious, maniacal CGI short that crosses British/French know-how with Saturday afternoon wrestling becomes an all-time animation favourite.

The Aristocrats in Question

Imagine two horny psycho-aristocrats hell-bent on winning over a beautiful Lady in the middle of a gorgeous, sunny afternoon. The first gentleman on the scene is Sir Dingleberry, a tall, lanky repressed English fellow arriving for afternoon tea. He becomes enraged when the Marquis de Malstrumpet, a tall, handsome boisterous Frenchman who makes his grand entrance by slamming a bouquet of roses against the sniveling little butler before working up the Lady.

The Lady With the Big Boobs

The gentleman's lust for life is a tall, voluptuous young Lady whose beauty, quite literally, can only be captured with the miracle of CGI graphics. Her gorgeous physique – most noticeable her large “boobies” - are the work of Blur’s Sze Jones and her talented team of character modelers each sharing an equal fascination (or obsession) with anatomically-incorrect CGI hotties.

The Creators of “A Gentleman’s Duel”

“A Gentleman’s Duel” was pitched by two Blur concept artists Sean McNally and Francisco Ruiz. Unlike Blur’s many commercial contracts, short animated films are the team’s chance to have full creative control over what they do best. “A Gentleman’s Duel” is also Blur’s fifth short film and the first to include characters with dialogue. Other online Blur short animation films include "In the Rough" (2004) and "Gopher Broke" (2004).

Blur Studios: A Company Where Artists Can Thrive

Blur Studios was founded by Tim Miller and David Stinnett. Both Miller and Stinnett worked as animators as well as artists at Sony Pictures Imageworks before leaving to create Blur. Their dream was to provide a relaxed, creative environment that would give artists the room they needed to thrive and grow. Blur Studios currently employs a highly skilled international team of artists and has gained a reputation for producing high quality commercial works and short films.
